Sew...I am new to this quilting thing....

Hi everyone, welcome to my first blog post on my new blog! The Title of this blog says it all! I CAN sew a straight line.

I have sewn in the past, pillow cases, decorative pillows..and this past November/December, I sewed an apron for my daughter-in -law...turned out pretty good!
I also made her a head scarf to go with it...

What I am really getting into though is quilting...I want to state here and please keep it in mind, I have no idea what I am doing..I am learning as I go and Youtube is a darn good teacher!

So, here is a link of what I am working on right now, The Layer Cake Sampler at Material Girl. A SAL from a couple of years ago...

I have 13 blocks done so far and have run out of yellow..so I am stalled but here are a few of my blocks and a link to my album to see the rest!

Thank you for stopping in, and please bookmark me to see updates!

  1. Good luck on your new quilting adventure, sounds like you're off to a good start. Is there anything you can't learn from Youtube?! I'm always impressed when a new quilter tackles half square triangles, and from what I can see they look pretty darn good.
