New projects in the works!

Hello! I know, it has been a while...I will try to get better at keeping this updated.

I decided to use more of my trimmed scraps, in shades of blue, green, yellow and white/off-white to do this 9 Patch Variation block! This is pretty labor intensive, I have to say, but not hard to do at all.
This one, I will be keeping for my husband and myself, for the couch. Something to use on a chilly evening that also looks pretty all day long.

Also in the works...
This is a Folded Corners Block quilt in shades of blue and turquoise for my son and his fiance. This should be the last BIG quilt I have to make for a while. I have everyone covered, literally, that I have wanted to make quilts for, people that truly treasure the gift and have been waiting patiently for me to get to theirs..such a good feeling.

Today, I am quilting on my very first 9-patch, my very first quilting project for my sister, for her birthday, she has no idea I am finishing it up and will be surprised when I give it to her. This is the one I am talking about...of course, it is bigger than this.

because I am having a hard time getting to my fabric (nephew is storing his whole life in that room) I grabbed a few boxes that I could, looked through my fabric for large enough yardage and came up with the best I could. But you know what? I like turning a corner of a quilt down and seeing a huge contrast in color..it might be the scrappy in me. I found some blue fabric and it is looking great...I swear! haha. I will post pics of the finished project when complete.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
